Gift Shop
The shop may be small but we have a wonderful range of gifts on offer. You will find lovely soaps and toiletries; pretty tea towels and aprons; tins of biscuits and jars of old-fashioned sweets; china mugs and jugs.
We work hard to introduce new lines of stock each year, as well as keeping tried and tested favourites. We also sell a range of local items, such as jams and chutneys from Woodthorpe Preserves, local honey and the work of local artists. We are often complimented on our wide and varied range of greetings cards.
Gift vouchers that can be redeemed for garden entrance, the shop, plant sales and Maples Tearoom are also available, and make excellent presents
Plant Sales
You are welcome to purchase plants without paying for garden entrance.
Steve Lloyd, Head Gardener, has worked at Hergest Croft for over 40 years and what he doesn’t know about plants is not worth knowing. He is passionate about trees and plants, and curates the selection on sale with exceptional care. There isn’t a huge amount of space in the plant sale area and every specimen he chooses needs to be fully garden-worthy to earn its place there.
